Bridgeport
is a gateway to one of the most productive recreational
fishing regions in California. Whether you prefer fly fishing,
trolling on a lake, shore fishing, tube float fishing or
stream fishing,
this Mono County paradise will fulfill your needs.
The Bridgeport
Reservoir and both the Upper and Lower Twin Lakes annually
offer up trophy trout.
The Walker River, both East and West,
provides
trout
filled pools
for your angling enjoyment. The Virginia Lakes and Kirman Lake
are also very popular to local and visiting fishermen. Countless
backcountry streams and lakes beckon those that like hiking and
fishing.
Enter the Bridgeport Trout Tournament on June 25th. It helps support the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Program. Merchants, residents and visitors has teamed together
to plant 50,000 browns split between
the East
Walker
and
Bridgeport
Reservoir
annually.
It is donation driven
and everyone is encouraged to participate.
